The Tennis Tutor is one of my new best friends, a reliable and dependable practice partner. As an intermediate player who doesn't mind practicing and drills, this has been a perfect match. I would like to share some information and advice. My ball carrier holds approximately 75 balls. I can fill and empty the Tennis Tutor about 20 times on one full battery charge. Any variability in ball delivery is not with the machine but with the balls. For maximum consistency, the tennis balls should be about the same age. Ball jams are very rare. Don't just leave the ball machine at the baseline. Experiment with different placements and the ball delivery speeds. You can get plenty of height for lobs if you move the machine further behind the baseline with a high ball delivery speed. The basic side to side oscillator is challenging enough for me. Only a very advanced player would miss the variable oscillation on more expensive models. Save a lot of money, don't buy a remote, use the money for lessons. I keep a steady supply of used balls coming by bringing soft drinks and pretzels to every one of my matches in return for which I get to keep the match balls. My friends think this is a great deal.

So far very good! I have only owned the Tennis Tutor for a month or so and I am happy with the results up to now.
It is very portable but probably could be seen as a little heavy for a smaller person. Honestly, I am surprised that something that size can do the job it does. The instructions are easy to follow and the machine is easy to charge- it gives you a green light when fully charged.
If you can afford it and want to improve your game by hitting more strokes than with a partner at this point I would say this is a good choice.
The tennis machine showed up quickly. Unfortuneatly the box had a hole in it and the tennis machine was beeping-like it got bounced and accidently got turned on. Fortuneatly, I charged the machine and it was fine.
A Sales Representative from Mercantila did call me to follow up checking my address and then later calling to let me know the item was shipped and had an excellent warranty offer. I think they do a good job.

This is a great practice tool. Excellent for working on your strokes, technique and consistency. Easy to set up shots you want to work on, very versatile. I have used it now for several years and am very happy.

Ball machine works well. Definitely order it with oscillating motion. Ball machine broke after about a year, but Tennis Tutor was nice and replaced the control panel for free - I had to ship it to them and they shipped it back. Settings are easy to use and it provides good variety.

Just bought this machine with the HD battery a few weeks ago. Only used 5 times and the thing stopped working. I'm sending it back! [...] Not impressed at all. Paid over $1,000 dollars for it to have problems after a week of use. Charged it for 24 hours last time and brought it out to the court and after 15 sec. starting beeping and just quit for the 2nd day in a row. It's brand new...must be a defective battery

Our Tennis Tutor is great. Battery lasts 2 hrs- no problem. We practice ground strokes, volley, return of serve, transition shots. Very easy to adjust for the different types of strokes we're practicing. Also easy to transport from home to court.
